Man Of The Match : T. Love

Report : South Cave opened the scoring after 10 minutes and the result never looked in doubt after that. The goal, scored by Tom Love, carries on his record of scoring in every game so far. The first half saw South Cave with most of the possession although they couldn't find the second goal. It eventually came from a good run by Tom Hanson down the left wing. What appeared to be a cross, somehow went in at the near post, although he will be claiming the goal.
Half time came with the scoreline still at 2 nil. Although the first 45 mintues contained some good football, maybe more chances should have been created in the final third of the pitch. South Cave started the second half sluggishly giving North Newbald their first chances of the game. However, the defence stood firm leaving Chris Hodgkinson in goal without many saves to make. Soon South Cave were back on top of play, and a third goal was inevitable, with Tom Love grabbing his second of the game. Kieran Barmby and Jonny Barker came off the bench to provide fresh legs, and immediately set up Paul Rackham whose shot from outside the box hit the inside of the post and into the keeper's hands. A fourth goal for South Cave and a hat-trick for Tom Love gave them the deserved win and continued their winning run in the league.

Captain's View : We played some quality football, although we should have created more chances. Everyone played well and we can't complain too much with a 4 nil win. We'll take the three points and move on to thinking about next week's game.
